Each summer season, alongside our family days in the maze, we host a small number of unique and incredibly popular summer events at Lichfield Maize Maze, Sunflowers & Wildflowers.

These events are designed to make the most of our beautiful countryside setting – open fields, long summer evenings and the gentle rhythm of rural Staffordshire – offering something a little different from our daytime visits.
Events take place across the season and are always carefully planned to protect the calm, spacious atmosphere that makes them so special. Tickets are limited and are available in advance online only, so we recommend keeping a close eye on our website and social media so you don’t miss out, as last year, all events sold out within 48 hours of being announced!
Sunset Picnics in the Sunflowers
Our sunset picnics in the sunflowers and wildflowers will be returning this summer following their popular launch last year.

As the day draws to a close, guests are invited to enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by sunflowers, wildflowers and open skies, with time to pause, picnic and enjoy the changing light across the fields. As the sun lowers, birdsong carries across the fields and a gentle sense of calm settles in, creating a truly memorable countryside experience in our beautiful rural Staffordshire setting.

Numbers are always limited to maintain the calm, spacious atmosphere that these evenings are known for. We recommend that you book early, and sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear when tickets are released.

We also offer private event hire on selected dates throughout the summer season.
