Lichfield Maize Maze is our award-winning family-run countryside attraction just outside of Lichfield (only 12 miles from Birmingham city centre), for all ages – from families with young children to adults looking for fun and something different to do.

Each summer, we create a brand-new maize maze, with previous themes including:
   • Brilliant Bees
   • A Celebration of British Birds
   • Blue Planet
   • Great British Spacewalk
Every year brings a fresh adventure for returning visitors and new explorers alike.
Visitors receives a maze map, activity card and stickers, making it fun to navigate the paths and complete challenges along the way. After exploring, enjoy relaxing in our large picnic area, where there’s gentle fun for all ages – enjoy our giant sand pit, ride-on pedal tractors, garden games (including the very popular Swingball), or simply find a quiet spot and take in the peaceful countryside views.
Light snacks, refreshments, and locally produced ice cream are available on-site or feel free to bring a picnic.
The surrounding fields provide a stunning backdrop, including pick your own sunflowers and wildflowers. These are not only beautiful during the summer season, but the sunflower and wildflower stems are left unharvested over winter to provide food and shelter for birds and insects, supporting the precious wildlife on our farm. Visitors can then return in October when things get a little bit spooky (think silly not scary!) to enjoy new maze games, pick homegrown pumpkins and visit our famous Pumpkin House.
For those who prefer a calmer experience and need a little bit of space, we run Quiet Time Sessions in both summer and October. These are very special sessions, with numbers carefully limited to ensure a peaceful environment, so please look out for these in advance when booking.
In the summer of 2025 we launched our adult-only evening events, which proved extremely popular. They offer a very special way to enjoy the maze, sunflowers & wildflowers at sunset, and we plan to run more next year — follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates.
Lichfield Maize Maze is about simple pleasures: gentle outdoor fun, fresh air, and spending time with friends and family. We can’t wait to welcome you back when we reopen in July.

We want our maize maze, flower & pumpkin fields to have a strong link to our ethos and love of both farming and the incredible biodiversity that we have both here on our farm and around the British Isles.

Our maize maze games are fun and educational, suitable for children and adults alike. All visitors to the maze receive an activity card, stickers and map. Recommended age for maize mazers is 0-100 years, so make sure that you visit us this summer!

We love working alongside the Wildlife Trust, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and the RSPB.
Come & Visit Us
We plant our maize, sunflowers and pumpkins in May as well as strips of special bumblebee and butterfly wildflower mix to support and promote the biodiversity of our beautiful farm. With plenty of sun and rain, and lots of tender loving care from farmer Richard, a lush and beautiful field of maize, sunflowers and wildflowers appears just in time for the summer holidays! After everyone has been to explore and enjoy our maze and sunflowers throughout the summer and early autumn, it is all hands to the deck to get ready for some spooky Halloween fun! Our incredible Pumpkin House is erected and some rather funny and slightly spooky visitors appear! What will they be doing this year??? Don’t forget to have your annual family photograph in our Pumpkin House!
